Brandy's Corner -Transitional Housing

A New Beginning for Women Rebuilding Their Lives

Brandy’s Corner, located in the former Holy Rosary Rectory, is the newest expansion of the Mercy Center for Women’s transitional housing program. This 12-bedroom residential facility is designed to meet the needs of women facing some of life’s toughest transitions—those reentering the community after incarceration, fleeing domestic violence, overcoming addiction, or experiencing homelessness.

Why Brandy’s Corner?

Women in these situations often face steep challenges:

  • Discrimination from landlords and employers

  • Limited access to mental health and addiction services

  • Legal and custody issues

  • Histories of trauma, abuse, and instability

Brandy’s Corner exists to break these barriers. By offering safe housing paired with wraparound services, we create a pathway to recovery, reunification, and long-term success.

Brandy’s Corner is named in loving memory of Brandy Krieger, a vibrant, faith-driven woman and proud Mercy Center for Women graduate whose life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and purpose. Brandy adored her three children and pursued her nursing career with passion, eventually becoming a Nursing Supervisor at AHN/Highmark. She never stopped advocating for others—serving on the Mercy Center’s Board of Directors, supporting women and children in recovery, and even providing gifts and meals during the holidays. Her legacy lives on through Brandy’s Corner—a place of healing, hope, and new beginnings for women on the path to recovery, just as she once was.
